When will the race start?

We are starting the race promptly at 7:30AM. Street closures will be enforced by 7AM so come early!

Where is the starting and finishing line?

Ridgecrest Intermediate School is proud to once more partner with Promenade PV at 550 Deep Valley Dr, RHE for the start and finish. The runners will line up around the traffic circle on Deep Valley Dr. The START and FINISH lines are both under the walkway bridge by Mochinut. The race will pass through Promenade PV property to Norris Center Dr and continue through the local community.

Absolutely! You can sponsor our event at https://ris5k.com/sponsor. Our Ridgecrest Intermediate School Booster Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and we rely on membership and donations to fund much needed services for our middle school students. This year our RIS 5K race is helping to fund the 21st Century Classroom Initiative. RIS endeavors to replace outdated lab and classroom furniture with ergonomic, modular systems that can be adjusted to support project and group work. Thank you for your support. Go Raiders!

Is there timing available for runners?

Yes! We partered with StackSports for our timing services and all of our registered participants will have their split and finish times recorded. If you're a RIS student, your PE teacher will receive your finish time and apply it satisfy the 5K requirement.

Question 6

Where can I park at Promenade PV?

Accepted Answer

The only accessible vehicle entrance/exit to and from Promenade PV will be on Indian Peak Rd to East bound traffic coming from Hawthorne Blvd. The entrances on either side of Deep Valley Blvd will not be accessible by any vehicles during the race to maintain a safe event for our middle school students and community runners.
